We offer you transport pallets including IPPC-certified pallets also known as fumigated pallets.
Wooden boxes are not always required to transport goods. In many cases, it is sufficient to place the cargo on a pallet or a platform, immobilise it and pack it in appropriate packaging materials, which will protect the cargo against the effects of humidity. At our company Opakowania Eksportowe Sp. z o.o. sp.k. we offer the entire process: from pallet production, through securing the goods, storing them for the time needed for shipment, packing them into containers or onto the truck, customs clearance, and finally transporting them to their final destination in Poland or Europe, or to the airport or port from where the goods will continue their journey into the world.
Among the pallets we offer are also IPPC-certified transport pallets, i.e. the so-called fumigated pallets. The name originates from the Latin word smoke, incense, and refers to the fumigation process, i.e. extermination of living organisms living in wood. Methyl bromide used to be used for this process. It is now banned because of the greenhouse effect it causes, and hydrogen phosphide is most commonly used for fumigation. Because of the risk of pests moving between countries and continents, many including the European Union require importers to use wooden packaging and pallets that have been marked with the IPPC symbol.
All IPPC-certified pallets are made of wood treated according to ISPM 15, the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures for Plant Protection. Such pallets are marked with the IPPC symbol, the number of the plant where the wood has been phytosanitary treated and the type of approved treatment, in our case the HT symbol, which stands for heat treatment. Thus marked pallets can transport your goods all over the world.
Each batch of pallets ordered is accompanied by an IPPC certificate on paper in English.
Depending on the load and the type of goods being packed, we offer standard pallets, i.e. with gaps between the boards or with full boarding, on so-called ‘blocks’ or scantlings. For heavier goods, we offer transport platforms made on a truss with full boarding.
On your request, we can prepare transport pallets both from raw wood and certified wood meeting the ISPM-15 standard.
