OSB, thanks to its high durability, resistance to damage and ease of processing, is increasingly being chosen by our customers as a material for the construction of transport boxes. More than 90% of OSB is made of wood. Compressed pine or spruce chips are bonded together with waterproof synthetic resin. This creates a strong and weather-resistant board.
OSB cases do not have the typical defects that solid wood cases can have. The absence of knots eliminates the occurrence of cracks. The glue and wax-based emulsion used in the production of OSB makes them ideal for transport in humid conditions.
OSB boxes are made using frame box construction technology. Their sheathing consists of appropriately sized and nailed OSB boards. The items inside are suitably protected against shifting. At the customer’s request, we install tilt, humidity, temperature and shock registration sensors in the OSB box. Thanks to their use, the customer can accurately monitor the condition of the item being transported.
Importantly, every transport package including OSB boxes is appropriately labelled. This facilitates loading and unloading and makes transport companies aware of how to handle the crate.
